I would try the stop leak,

If you've used stop leak before, I would keep using it now. I have a reason for my thinking...One of my students was working on a JD Model A. The radiator had 2 very small leaks on the cores so we decided to ship it off to the radiator shop. Well, the student's grandfather had previously used Stop-Leak in the radiator. When the radiator shop got the 2 leaks repaired, we got the radiator, put it back on the tractor, and filled her up.....now the tractor had about half a dozen holes that were gushing water...Reason, the vibration of riding in a vehicle jarred the stop leak that was holding the leaks and caused the leaks to open up again.... We spent 60 dollars at the repair shop and ended up dumping 3 jugs of stop leak right back into the tractor. We tried to do it right, just didn't work out that way, we burned 60 dollars because we wanted to do it right....If I had to do it over again, and I will also in the future,,.....try the stop leak first.,....good fix, non-corrosive, and non-plugging.....Contrary to popular belief....

I don't know how bad your radiator is, but I would try the stop leak first because the repair shop might not always fix things the way you want.

Good Luck...

Jared Jeffries
