I would like to say thanks to you guys. I had to use a pipe wrench on the threads to twist the plug out, but it finally came and covered me and another friend in oil. I dropped the pliers and plug into the catch bucket because of the force of the oil and because I got out of the way as soon as I could. I expected to only drain the oil last night, and ended up not only draining but changing filter and putting 9 new quarts of oil into the tractor. I left the shop at 10 o'clock sharp last night with an awesome feeling of accomplishment. Now, I can work on my front axle bushings and looking for some new tires. Thank you both, Howard and Andy, for your advice. Keep the rubber on the ground. Your friend, Tim Malin.
