Steve, If you have a three position light switch the fully counter-clockwise is off, then Dim, then bright going clockwise. If its a 4 position switch, fully counter clockwise is low charge, then high charge, then Dim, and finally Bright lights. I always use HyTran hydro fluid from my dealer and the bood says proper level with all the air out of the system and the rock shafts in the fully retracted position (Toward the rear) is 1/2" below the bottom of the fill plug. As far as the length of the exhaust pipe, can't be sure but I'd say at least 8" maybe someone else can get you right on with this. I believe the SC had a longer pipe because of the difference in height of the grill and gas tank./FB
