Steering universal is keyed to the worm shaft and held in place with a roll pin that you can drive out. Take the universal loose, then remove the big plug on the front of the steering gear. You can then screw out the worm gear and shaft (all one piece) with the ball bearing on the end of the worm. Jack up the tractor and take the nuts off the four studs that hold the front pedestal assembly with the wheels to the steering gear. Then you can remove 4 more bolts that hold the steering worm wheel and shaft in the steering box. The worm wheel, with the shaft and bearing will then come out the bottom.
