Thanks for answering my question about red rims. I have a few more questions about my 1940 A serial #33081. 1) My 1939 advertisement shows the tractor with solid disc front wheels rather than the ususal spoked wheels. Were solid disc wheels used in production? 2) What color would have the radiator been painted? Red or glossy or flat Black? 3) Did the early models have a stamped steel flywheel cover? I have a cast iron one from a newer model. 4) My grill with the 1/4 turn fasteners is completely shot. I just got a resorable grille from a newer model. To adapt it to my early unit it appears that I will have to trim off the flange where the hood sits on newer grill. Anything else? 5) Any suggestions about removeing the 1/4 turn bolts and reinstalling them in the newer grille? 6) Is there a source of new 1/4 turn wire catches? Your comments and advice is appreciated.
