Pigster, great posting! First you made a great buy. If you can't make chains out of them, you got at least $5 worth of front weights there, just drap them over the hood/grill! Nah that would realy mess up your paint job. Most chains can be shortened or lengthened in each direction( I've seen some older sets that look like a collection of connector links!) Just drape the chains over the tire and see how they fit, the cross links should come down the side wall about 5" and the fasteners should keep the chain very snug. Always keep the chains in good repair and if a break occurs repair immedaitely or damage to your tracor may occur. There are lots of varieties of tire chains, some with very large links in the cross chains give good traction but don't do well on the roads in 5th gear. Good luck!
