Is it supposed to run out?

When I add oil into the fan belt hub thingy (sorry don't know the correct term) through the little screw that is removed, oil pours out the back of assembly from the center. Is it supposed to drain back there when it is full, or is there a broken seal. I hope not 'cause i just wrestled the radiator on yesterday. Thank you -- Martin
