It sounds like Redtractorman has you headed in the right direction. The tractor isn't getting enough fuel to run right except at an idle. Clean your fuel system from the tank through the strainer and on through the carb. You will probably find DIRT at the strainer or at the float valve in the carb. GOOD TRACTORING
