I have a 73 we bought new. These tractors were designed to use either to start in cold weather. There should be a small rubber covered button on the left side for the either injection system. We did not like using either so we would pull start ours in cold weather, about 15 to 20 feet in 3rd gear high range would usually do it. If the battery is weak it is tough to start them at 60 degrees. IF you go back to look at it again take some commercial duty jumper cables and connect to something with at least 950 to 1000 Cold Cranking Amps it should start if there are not other problems. Check the fuel level they can appear to have a third of a tank of fuel but not have any flow to the filters or injector pumps. The inlet strainers can get corroded or gunked up and reduce the effective fuel capacity. If you loosen the bajo fitting on the line comming around the front of the engine to the injector pump and there is no flow there is a blockage. If you have flow and an adequate battery it should start if there are no other problems.
