Farm life isn't quite the same as it used to be around here. Instead of neighbors helping out, some of ours steal from my junk pile - er "parts warehouse." It really upsets me because when our neighbors need help we drop what we are doing and help them out, but when it comes time that we need some help they just turn up their nose. Regardless, I still help out my neighbors for a free meal or even nothing from time to time. I'm always there for them and encourage them to give me a holler when they need help. There are still some good people in the neighborhood too, but not as many as there once was.

I've been living in town during the school year for the last 3 years now and I HATE it. As rude as some of our neighbors may be, people in the city are even worse. I have nothing against city people, but some of them forget where they came from and turn snotty. I am lucky enough this year to have one neighbor that is off the farm also and we enjoy each other's company.

I'm working hard to become a teacher so that I can make a few bucks during the year to spend on the farm during the summer. I will live on a farm because that is where I grew up, and that is where the best life for me is.

It is great to have this website that shows examples of selfless people who will help each other out just for the sake of helping. This is a great example of the way the world should work!

Steven

Today's Featured Article - The Rescue of a Fordson F - by Anthony West. Introduction I live in the UK and have for many years restored Fordson tractors (in the main model N's). I have also restored and shown model F's, E 27N's, Field Marshall Series 2, David Brown Cropmasters and the old rey Fergeson T 20. At one time I had seven restored examples which were shown and used in ploughing matches. As most restorers, I have a number of war stories I can relate on a range of topics that may help other like minded and interested people. Perhaps my first p ... [Read Article]
