Some pics of our 544...

There have been some questions about paint colors, battery location, etc. on the Farmall 544 - I know there is at least one person with the International 544 that had questions anyways. I took some pics this weekend and thought I would share with the group. We repainted the tractor last summer. These pics were taken after I replaced the top radiator hose - it swelled and the fan chewed through it! And the replacement was $30!!! Lots of bends in it. I know that Wal-Mart mailbox letters are not the correct decals, but I can't find decals or metal emblems anywhere! If anyone knows of a source for the decals, please let me know! The International symbol that goes on the white part of the hood is exactly the same as the ones on our 1256.

Tractor is equipped with a Farmhand 270 quick tach loader.

That is an add-on 3 point that doesn't work very well, but it is better than nothing!

This pic shows the battery location - it is right at the tips of your feet when you are sitting on the tractor. Right below the steering column and gauges. The lever that is visible is for the shuttle to go from forward to reverse in any gear. On some tractors it would be the TA lever.

In this picture you can also see the top of the battery lid - on the left is a bolt and on the right just a hole.
