We had the similar thing happen on one of our 1066 about 10/11 years ago. Till it warned up (10/15 sometimes 30 minutes) the T.A. was stuck in low, the steering was hard to turn and the brakes were weak. Once it warmed up everything worked fine. This would even happen after the hydraulic filter was change. When we removed the mcv plate to look at the steering pump. We found the keyway was sheared off on the pump. And after warming up it would finaly snag and drive the pump. We also say that the steering pump showed alot of wear so it was replaced along with repacking mcv block. Its been working fine since then. good luck
