I've had similiar experiences with Ford trucks, usually I'll just let them sit in neutral and run long enough to get really warmed up good, and then starting in gear and holding the clutch in and hitting the brakes works. Before I tore anything apart, I'd try this....back out the bolts holding the pressure plate to the flywheel (not completely out, just nearly all the way out) this will take the pressure off the pressure plate...warm it up good, and then see if you can get it to slip a little....if this works, then rebolt it up, and see if you can make it break loose---I'll bet this would work, assuming you can get to the pressure plate mounting bolts. Or, if you can see the clutch plate, maybe you could drive a putty knife between the flywheel and the the clutch plate....would be hard on the plate, but would sure beat tearing it all apart....let us know how you come out on this....good luck I would add a note of caution, those old clutches had asbestos in the linnings....I'd wear a disposable breathing mask.
