Take the damned power steering off!!! In the first place an M doesn't steer that hard (unless you're like my wife and I won't let her near my tractor). There are two things to check. First check the universal joint in the steering column. It's located under the hood. If that is bad you're gonna need to buy some spurs to ride the ol' girl. Or you can replace the U-joint. most Case dealers have access to the parts you'll need.That will help quite a bit especially if you have a narrow front end. Next take the cover off the top of the radiator. This will expose the top of your steering bolster. Thake the top cover off and check for play in the worm gear. There is a bushing on the back side of the worm gear on the steering column as it enters the bolster that could be worn out. Have fun!!
