The purests in tractor restoration will tell you generator is a must. I personally don't agree, I would go with alternator. I did two of them ten years ago. use same alternator as GM was using through eighties. Scrapyard prices are around 15-20. You need a double pully, for positioning on A or Super A. Just weld a flat plate on current mounting bracket and weld pieces to that for mounting. Ask Bob M for his wireing diagrams.
