My 504 Diesel is 2/3 of the 656/560 engine. I had diesel fuel leaking from the front of the engine from the head gasket area, the tractor seemed to be running fine and I was loosing no oil or coolant either but it DID suck the front cylinder sleeve into the crankcase one day, it was the front cylinder that was also leaking. Do not know if the two incidents were related but that may be what is about to happen to your engine. The top breaks off the sleeve and the piston pulls it into the crankcase, this is a common problem with those engines. After the overhaul the leak was gone. Good luck.
