Common problem. No adjustments on these things other than makeing sure all the linkage on the tie rod side are good and tight. You can check the worm gear bearing by taking out the big plug in the front of the steering box. Then you can hold the wheels straight and screw out the worm gear and bearing far enough to examine. If you want it all the way out, you have to remove the steering wheel. The worm gear and shaft are all one piece. The the ball bearing on the worm gear has any play, you can replace it and that will help your steering play. If that does not tighten it up, they you will have to take off the steering box and rebuild it with new bearings. Hopefully you won't need new gears.
