966 Hydraulics

Finally living my dream - got 200 acres and starting farming this year. Bought a 966 with Farmhand 348 loader/grapple from a fellow. I am not up at the place yet so I had my Dad (retired dairy farmer) look it over. Seems as though it has had good care so we bought it. I am going up Wednesday to disk and plant hay but, my Dad and Uncle (both in there 70s') couldn't stand it and went and picked up the tractor and started disking today. They are like kids with a new toy - it is fun to see them excited about it. I am excited getting to farm but I think they are even more so. Anyway Uncle got to a soft spot and started spinning so he went to raise up the disk and it would not lift. Nothing would work with the loader either. Any ideas what happened? We put a new cylinder and lines on the disk and the previous owner just serviced the tractor this morning. I wonder if air could be in the pump from the new cylinder / lines? Can that happen? Worst case I guess I will need a hydraulic pump. Any idea what that will cost worst case? Do they have to split the tractor or are the pumps accessed through another place? Thanks for any advice.
