Don, if yours is like mine you'll have to really clean the flywheel up well from below and use a bright light to find that timing mark. It took my old eyes a little while to find it with the flywheel off the tractor. Once you do, mark it with a crayon like the welders use. While mine was off, I masked off a gap of about 1/8" with the mark in the center and hit it with a couple of squirts of bright paint. On the real problem, that gas running out the carb seems the best clue. If it's pouring gas worse when you crank it, you've obviously got vacuum, so the valves shouldn't be a problem (that cover's real handy for keeping calves out of your valves-never leave your tractor unattended in the calf pen with the valve cover off!) A stuck float's gotta be part of it. When you've fixed/checked that out, reassemble, tighten everything a second and then a third time. Bottom out your air screw and back it out a turn and a half. If you can't find that timing mark, you'll have to pull your No 1 plug to get No. 1 to the top of the compression stroke. From there you should be able to time it by sight and guesstimation well enough to get it running, though you'll want to find your mark eventually to get it right. You can get that engine mighty hot real quick if you're too far off. Keep us posted on how you're making out, and good luck! Scotty
