Well, I heard of a fella that worked for a guy I know years ago. He worked land that was all over the county. He had an older fella who was working for him, and at the time was raking hay with a super C, was all done and was just going to move equipment to the next spot. The boss told him to take it to some field, and gave him a name of the field. The fella asked the boss if he was sure, and he said of course, drive it, don't worry about trailering it. Fella said alright, and from what I understand he drove that tractor 33 miles pulling that hay rake. The boss was thinking of one field a couple miles down the road and accidentally was thinking it was called something else, but the hired hand knew the names of the fields correctly and did exactly as he was told thought he meant the field far away. When I was working for a fella who had a country with the county to mow the sides of the county roads, I drove a 1066 about 20 miles to the otherside of the county where the next area to mow started. There are farmers around me that farm in Maryland and Virginia, and some will drive there tractors over 50 miles, but not generally at one time, just move from field to field, and occasionally drive back the whole way when done.
