Hi Peter, I have a Hydro 100 and I know what you mean. They are a good tractor. I bought one this summer for baling and to run a snowblower in the winter. For a snowblower, they are perfect. You get high RPM's and slow speeds. I haven't had any problems with it. I will need an injection pump for it sometime in the future, however. The American Bosch pumps on these series of engines D414-436-466 are not the best when it comes to longevity. Usually 4000 hrs. or so before you need a rebuild. The main thing is to keep you hy-tran and filters changed and be sure to keep the remotes plugged when not in use. Dirt, water and hydro's don't mix! Good luck! Matthew in SD
