That is precisely the shaft that lost the nut on Dad's 1256. I recall the keeper tab wasn't bent over and I don't think the nut was ever torqued properly to begin with, the tractor most likely didn't have 200 hours on the TA job when this happened. I just torqued the nut to specs and made sure the tab was bent down like it was supposed to be, never had anymore trouble out of it. I had heard of this happening to other tractors though. Maybe locktight as well???????
