I plowed today for the first time EVER!!!!

WOW what a blast.
I bought a No. 8 trip plow on rubber last Sat. at a consignment sale in Chickasaw OH. Only had to give $110 for it, had semi decent paint,same for tires. Had to replace grease zerks and bolts for coulter wheels, and fabricate 2 U bolts (NOBODY stocks U bolts bigger than 5/16,not even TSC). Hooked it to my 51 H today and began to learn to plow. After some "rookie" mistakes, I figured out where to set the levers, and except for the 2 times I found buried rocks (that spring loaded hitch worked like a charm) I had a heck of a lot of fun!!!!! I told my wife it was a good thing she had already made dinner plans, because I was having too much fun and was getting carried away. We should have a really nice garden this year!!! Maybe this week I can find time to plow the 2 1/2 acres behind the creek ...hope,hope,hope.
