You might be surprised by who collects old computers. Some of the biggest collectors are the old-line geeks who have been writing and building(!) their own home-brew computers since the first ones for home use came out in the mid-1970s. For example, there is a very loyal base of Commodore 64 users(1980s) who still write software for them, and there is another group that still puts the old Atari computers(not video game consoles) through their paces. It's really amazing.
