Cliff, there will be timing marks on the crank hub the pointer is pointing at, but they are very fine and not stamped very deep. I found them on the 560G I'm working over by cleaning the outside of the hub with emery cloth until I found the first evidence of the marks, then concentrating on that area. They can hide under a very light layer of rust. I think the marks are in one degree increments from 25°BTDC to 10°ATDC, but it's been a few months since we timed it.
