Haas: Electrical switch may depend on a couple things like options at purchase. Not all ordered lights back in the '40's and that may change with or without a mag vs distributer? Our '53 did NOT have a mag when new. Our new '41 MD had a German fuel injection pump but that changed several months later when WW2 broke out against Germany. Various small things change from year to year, I guess. Common small production changes?? Also 50+ years of various owners may have modified things too. Have you ever tried switching to diesel like I mentioned. After the first warm up in the morning, the rest of the day it was easy to eliminate smoken in switching to diesel after shutting gas off first and then QUICKLY opening diesel maybe 1/3. (I was younger and quicker then) r.
