Kraig- Very nicely put. God and Constitution. Unfortunately, we've abandoned the Constitution gradually during the last 100 years, most notably during the Wilson and FDR administrations. The advocates of the "living document" theory of the US Constitution have continually eroded the plain meaning, intent and protections it provided free men against the excesses of government. Given the predilection of many to subvert the libertarian roots of this great nation, if I could make one change in our government it would be to require supermajority vote to pass any legislation. I'm thinking somewhere around 99% would be about right. I might settle for 95%. But the current 50%+1 concept is simply ludicrous. There are just too many people out there who want something, and who are quite happy to acquire it at someone elses expense. The Constitution is the proverbial goose that laid the golden egg. Bit by bit the collective is butchering it.
