Aaron, If you were after a Farmall M for money purposes you are doing this for the wrong reasons. I am not out to make money (well, enough to keep tinkering would be nice for now). MOST of the joy I get out of a tractor is in the actual restoring process, there is no therapy like FARMALL/INTERNATIONAL therapy in my book. I enjoy the quiet hours out in the garage with the radio on softly in the background, it gives me time away from the rush of the world to relax and enjoy my life. Right now working on my 42 H is the only thing I thoroughly enjoy in my life, I would go insane without a tractor. I agree that a 1206 engine/transmission is REALLY big and consequently REALLY expensive to repair if any major parts are broken. But the simple enjoyment of saving another one from the scrap iron melting pot will be enough for me. I LOVE the looks of the 06 series and the durability! And one last thing: it won't cost me another dime besides the initial investment to let it sit in my yard. I've blown 500 bucks on lesser things in the past. Steven
