as mentioned, push 2 thin blade screwdrivers under the magnet on each side and twist until the magnet starts up then use larger screwdrivers to lift up further. spray between the magnet and housing with penetrating oil to loosen dirt and corrosion. you may have to push the magnet down and start over again until the fit is loose enough to slide off. don't forget to remove the strap at the top.
