Bob,so many questions so fast I'll try and get them one at a time. Here it is 3:00 am,Can't sleep any longer.I bought the 10-20 from a farmer down the road,he said he grew up with the tractor, his dad had an orchard,it had been in a shed for more than 30 yrs as far as he could remember. It does have orchard fenders I took the outside pieces off. After posting the message I went back to the garage to take a closer look at things. It looks like there's only 2 that are like that but with the slightest pressure down with a screwdriver the #12 feeler gauge slips in.I know it the right head because the # on the head is identical # as a friends 10-20.I put 1 new piston and new valves in it and those # match up with Rice price list. The nuts are on top[it is a viable question].The #1 cavety had a lot of rust in it and maybe it got machined a little to deep cause thats the one that has the problem.Bob, could I thake a little off the rocker arm tip,say a 1/16 or less just to give it that little bit of play.By the way the gasket material looks to be good stuff made by a local factory,I did call them up,they said there should be no problem there thickness should be the same.I think I mentioned to you before I've built a few old engines and they do have a little forgiveness towards some problems that arise, seems like there is a way to rectify these glitches.Reason why I jumped on the bandwagon was because the first 2 rockers I went to set this was what I found so I figured they were all the same,But like you say you like to know why it has this problem,it was well frozen when I brought it home and mostly #1 that's where I put the new piston, the top of the old one was pretty rusted. It cranks over nice and easy.I'll wait til I here back from you cause I respect your opinions on things. There was a question you answered the other day that I had been wondering about myself it was how many gaskets the carb had, when I took mine apart seems there was just the one over the needle valve housing. So that helped me also. Thanks Bob!! Will

Today's Featured Article - Choosin, Mounting and Using a Bush Hog Type Mower - by Francis Robinson. Looking around at my new neighbors, most of whom are city raised and have recently acquired their first mini-farms of five to fifteen acres and also from reading questions ask at various discussion sites on the web it is frighteningly apparent that a great many guys (and a few gals) are learning by trial and error and mostly error how to use a very dangerous piece of farm equipment. It is also very apparent that these folks are getting a lot of very poor and often very dangerous advice fro ... [Read Article]
