Hey Andy! I though that might be you. Funny you asked about the M. It's running good now, but this summer I had a great adventure with it. I was going to use it for a hayride at a church retreat so I thought why not spruce it up a bit. The carb was leaking a little bit so I rebuilt it. Then I replaced the brake bands, tuned it, lubed it, washed it and shined the tires. Spent about 2 days on it. brought the trailer up and parked the tractor behind it so I could load it. Went to get the chains and when I got back gas was POURING from the carb. Figured the float was stuck so I took it apart and that was it. Put it back together and it would not even pop. I got so P****D off I let it sit there for a month. I finally checked to see what went wrong and the the wire from the coil to the dist. had gone bad. Replaced it and the starter button that had also gone bad. Runs great now tho' still has that annoying little leak from the carb... I got all the parts for the hydraulics so I'll put that on this spring and maybe get a new carb. if I can't fix this one. How's that H?

Today's Featured Article - New Life for an Old Allis - by Tyler Woods. My friend Jon, has an old '39 Allis Chalmers B. He thought it a marginal tractor that had long since served its time. She smoked terribly and never had much power but he couldn't afford another so he was limping along with what he had. Jon's Allis has a small front loader and though it doesn't carry much, it serves his needs. It was the hard starting and low power that made him think it was time to replace the old girl. Jon called me to help him discover why his tractor wouldn't start ... [Read Article]
