You don't need to change a thing on the light switch. The existing headlight dimmer resistor will still dim the front lights in the "D" position, though it will dim them less than it did on 6 volts. Both the "L" and "H" positions will serve as an "off" position for the lights - but will have no other function. Note there will be no wire connected to the generator field resistor. You can take the field resistor off the switch if you want a bit more room inside the ammeter box...
