Calcium Chloride eats rims, and any other unprotected metal, but it's heavy. About a month ago, someone suggested on this site to go around to the garages and collect old antifreeze. It's free, and won't rust your rims. You'll still probably have to have it pumped in by your favorite farm tire guy.
