The 2656 Hydro is basically the same tractor as the Red f-656 farm tractor, with identical front grill to rear hitch specs. The difference will be the front axles and rear wheel options. The 2656 was made for the industrial and or government markets, while the 656 was produced for the farm market. The first s/n was 501 and they should fall in line with the s/n list for the 656 tractors. Really don't know about the price at this time, however you should know the Hydrostatic transmisssion was an exclusive from IH at that time,others have been developed since. My point is that it may be difficult to service or repair this transmission unless you have someone familiar with this 25 year old unit. I would recommend that you pay more attention to local service potential than the saking sale price. This was a good tractor back in the 70's. Good luck George
