I have thought about getting a haybine to use with my M, but the brakes don't work very good, eats a lot of gas, doesn't have live pto, and is a wide-front end version, so it doesn't turn good. I have priced haybines around, used, and they are going for at least $1500 if not more, and I hate to spend that much on something that could be nothing but junk.
I have seen 3pt kits for $500, used 3pt sickle bars for $400-500 and good hay conditiioners for $200. Yes a haybine would be better, but am afraid of buying a junk haybine! I don't think a H with 23 HP could do a haybine when most call for 30 or more hp, which a M could handle.
Any ideas?
