I pull a '44 M. Mine was a basket case when I got it so it was quite expensive to build it. I know a guy who is selling a nice M for $1250. It needs paint. Personally I would build a better motor because I beat him every time. If you can find an M and increase the motor they are hard to beat. In the five thousand pound class around here my M and another M are always first and second. If conditions are right then an H with lower first gear give us a run for the money. I would buy an M if it were me. My nephew pulls a 1945 H in the 4000 pound class. With him on it it ways 3960 pounds. He finished 3rd on the first pull that tractor and he ever did. Hs are decent pullers but the AC 45s will usually beat them, from what I have experienced.
