I don't believe they did. That opinion is also shared by others who know somwthing about Elwood. Denny would know for sure. I'm on shaky ground here. But isn't the linage of the 656 and later variants of that model traceable to 504, 606, 460, 350, 300, and ultimately the H and Super H? If that is the case, it may be possible to fit a front drive axle to an H. Now that could draw some attention. My knowledge of IH tractors ends with the 40-60 series although I do have a 504.
