Pull No1 sparkplug near the radiator and then bring No1 piston to TDC on the compression stroke. Hold your thumb over the plug hole until you feel compression against your thumb. Keep slowly cranking until the notch on the damper is aligned with the pointer. Then remove the cap from the mag and see where your rotor is pointing. It should at the No1 plug tower that's near 1 o'clock. Check you plug wires to see they're installed in the correct firing order. Hal 2-1 4-3 Viewed as you look at the cap
