Last weeks post about farmall"s in the movies got a discussion going at work. I might be asking the wrong group, but I don"t want to go over to the "dark side" so I"ll try here first. Does anyone remember a movie that came out in the early to mid 80"s about a guy and his custom harvesting operation? Its not a documentary, but it may be based on a true story. It started out, I think, with 3 old JD combines, like 6600"s or something, out in a wheat field. A bad hailstorm came up and flattened the crop where they were at. The main character was down on his luck as his buisiness was falling on hard times. Another scene has him working on one of the old combines because they were in bad shape, when his wife comes driving down the highway with 3 brand new JD combines following her (7720"s maybe). I think she went to the bank and persuded someone to loan them the money to buy new equipment. In another scene a member of his help gets his arm/hand caught in something and gets hurt kind of bad. Another scene shows some of his guys getting into a bar fight, and I think he has to bail a few of them out of jail. I know this all might not make much sense, but thats about all I can remember of it. I was a little kid when it came out and I watched several times. Does anybody have or remember the name of this movie? I"d love to see it again.

It is also very apparent that these folks are getting a lot of very poor and often very dangerous advice fro
