Farmall A fuel problem

Hello, this is my first time visit ing this site. I have a 1946 Farmall A used for a one acre garden (plow, disk and cultivate). This year, while plowing, the tractor would continually cut out. After exhausting plow adjustments (set too deep, too far left), I began thinking that it was not getting proper fuel flow. It would always re-start fine, but then would seem to surge and then lose power and eventually cut out again. We drained the bowl under the fuel tank and removed quite a bit of sediment. That helped, but did not solve. Also, it seems to run fine briefly after the tractor has sat (overnight), but then gets progressively worse once it starts happening. I am not a mechanic, so I do not know what to check next. Any thoughts or ideas? Thanks, Glen Lovelace, Seaford, DE.
