Well my buddy and i have painted a bunch of 1066's . Now all of them are Farm tractors used every day at what they do best . We used I H 2150 red and the cub cadet off white . I never could remeber the # on the white. .This is how much we put on them one gallon of case I H primer ( sheet metal striped bare) three to three and a half gallons of 2150 and 1 qt. of white. one can of flat black spray pait for the dash one pt. of dupont 77s hardner . one qt of Case I H aluim. for the rear rims . A total of 6 coates on chassi and 6 coates on sheet metal . Paint tractor one evening let sit for two days put the tire on and move the tractor out of the paint booth and do the sheet metal in a evening. let it set for a coupl days and put the tractor back together and add decals. To do a super job it took a full week . from first washen the tractors and hand cleaning strippen the sheet metal masken pullen tire and wheels getting everything ready to finish lot of work , But when done they were sharp. Several of my tractors were on magazines, videos . all done in the 2150 case I H paint just call me cheap as we had looked into the higher end paint and the 2150 at the time was 27 bucks a gallon verses the 300 dollar stuff and when your out in the field and a branch drags across the hood or fender i don't feel tobad about it . My owen S/MTA has ben painted now for 17 years and maybe in 5 - 10 years from now i may have to repaint her.
