Keith: I read your other thread and you best order the manuals PDQ. The original IH operators manual gives good everyday operation advice. For service manuals I have both the IT manual plus the IH Blue Ribbon service manual. Those are all available at Binder Books as well as from other online manual sellers. In the meantime cap on top of governor is crank case fill hole. Hydraulic fill is on left side of touch control unit. Hyrdaulic is Hy tran or equivilant. Engine crankcase is any good grade motor oil. Steering box, transmission and each final drive is gear oil. Get the operators manual and pay particular attention to fluid levels, distributor drive gears and greasing. For instance, Hydraulic should only be filled when hydraulic rockshafts are in rear position, over filling will occur if rockshafts are forward. By the way Jim is right your steering box needs a major overhaul.
