Well, the first time since I was a boy of 13. My wife, kids and I were out for a drive today and passed a farm with a bright red Farmall in the driveway (rather than the rusted stuff we usually see) So I stopped and asked about it. Met the owner who was a great guy. A JD man, but had two M's for cotton harvesting. Apparetly Farmall was the only ones making CH's in the late 40's. He pulled the one out of his barn and worked on cleaning it up. Wasn't a great job, but was nice none the less. He gave us all a tour of the farm and all his tractors, let the kids drive this little mower looking tractor which the absolutely loved, and he fired up the M and showed me how to drive it, which is pretty darn easy. He offered to help in my restoration in any way he could. He has a fully loaded shop with tons of room. So I may just take him up on that, as he's only 12 miles from my house. A good day, considering the guy who owns the H I want to consider buying had plans. I won't be able to see it at least until the 7th. But driving the M made up for it. :)

It is also very apparent that these folks are getting a lot of very poor and often very dangerous advice fro
