Recently I was at a live auction, My wife, daughter and her husband were with me. One of the items I bought was a Railroad Spike Hammer, this thing has to be a 12 to 15 pounder. Well the family got on my back, what was I going to do with this tool. My daughter insisted that at 64+ I no longer had the stamina to use this thing for more than a couple of swings. They kept on me, finally my daughter asked what I intended using it for. I told her that I would keep it, and in my will, leave it to the sibling that most annoyed me. Now, it's become a family joke, "Who's name is on the hammer this month?" I said slightly OT, well I've used this several times since on old iron, mainly implements. It works great as a big punch, as one can strike it with another hammer when direct swings are not possible. Just a great tool to have around the shop. You should buy one, I only hope you have as much fun as I have had with mine. Make note I also started a thread on Implement Alley, another subject. It was intended for Farmall page, I just got on the wrong button.
