Jon, I looked at both of my manuals and the part in your photo doesn't look like either of the ones shown. In fact, both models use the same part numbers but your appears to be different then what is shown in the manuals or the part catalog. Yours might be a later improved design but I think this is the item that the lifting spring or springs are anchored too. Also, the C-21-P model might have been replaced by the 2C-F21 mower as my manual for that model is dated July 1955 whereas, the one for the C-24-P model is dated October 1953. My parts catalog has revisions up through Aug. 1956. Again hope this is of some help, Hal.
