I don't need the swinging function on my H's drawbar, and often pull a heavily loaded trailer. I've seen more than a few of these drawbars bent. (Mine was when I got it.) I don't think you can do that pulling anything, but backing a trailer is different. Seeing all that, I've got the roller off mine hanging safe on the wall of the shed - if I need it I can put it back on. I modified the drawbar to carry more tongue load and to resist bending to the side. The previous owner had cut off the U part of another hitch and welded it to the bottom of this one; I had the drawbar straightened and another piece of bar stock welded to the bottom of it.
