I have just installed a Char-Lynn power steering setup on my 53 Super M. I need to get a belt to operate/run the power steering pump. The steering pump bolts on the side of the govener housing, and a Char-Lynn pulley was mounted on the crankshaft. Does anyone have a part number for this belt in their records??? Or know what length belt it requires??? I tried using a peice of 1/2" rope to get a rough measurment, but the guy at the parts place does not seem to be able to assist in any way what so ever. He acts as if its not in their computer system, then it can't exist in real life. All he wants to sell me is a varity of belts, and does not want to let me return the ones that won't work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
