Joe, we have a Farmall 544 gas. I think they are great tractors. They are basically a 656 with a 4 cyl engine, a D-239 for the one you're looking at, and a C-200 in ours. Both are rated at about 54 PTO hp. Ours has 5500 hours and has been shedded and well cared for all it's life. They make excellent hayfield tractors, good loader tractors, and will pull 3-14's even in fescue sod, and will handle a 12' tandem wheel disk. I have to agree with Darren, 16250 is an incredible amount of hours. You might want to check that again. The last digit on the hour meter is tenths - could it be showing 1652.0? If so, that is low hours - make sure the hour meter is working. Anyway, with good care (make sure you keep the engine oil changed and the air filter clean) the D-239 should last 5000 hours between rebuilds. Make sure the T/A is ok, they're expensive to replace. As for value, if its in nice condition, $2500 - $3500 with 16250 hours, $5000 - $7000 with 1652 hours.
