The shims are probably still available from CASE/IH. Give Carter and Gruenwald a call at 1-608-455-2411. There is no gasket because there is an o-ring that seals around the plate that the shaft from the PTO passes through and the case of the belt pulley. If you are going to rebuild it you will probably need bearings and a seal for the pulley shaft and the gasket for the outer bearing retainer, all from IH. Pull off the housing, you might have to persuade it with a putty Knife and screw driver, and from the back side you can drive out the plate in the side of the unit. When you reassenble it leave the plate out until you have it mounted and you can see everything.
