Look for casting date codes on the larger housings. They are cast in symbols that look sort of like (*4.3.T*). This example is April 3, 1950. These represent the date the individual part was cast. Some letters were not used, but S='49, T='50 and U='51. The year doesn't matter much, condition is important. The lack of a serial number plate in itself is somewhat of a negative from the collector perspective, obviously has no impact on use of the tractor.
